![]() Our fabulous welcoming red chairs! Rose Haven Farm Store has now moved to downtown Picton to better serve you. After 5 years on the Farm, we outgrew our space and moved into a shop on Elizabeth. Then in 2009 we have moved again, this time to 187 Main Street to a fabulous larger & more elegant space where we can serve you comfortably year round. We have lots of room to display our products, great display windows, comfortable chairs for accompanying males to enjoy (and women too!) and a large lower area for clearance yarns, our wonderful fibre products and for workshops
![]() We always carry Koigu. Rose Haven Farm Store is continuing to develop our fabulous specialty yarn shop where emphasis is primarily on natural fibre yarns such as Koigu, Colinette, Rowan, Lavold, Fiesta, Manos del Uruguay, Noro, Louisa Harding, Fleece Artist and now Lishman's Fur Yarn, the Japanese line Habu and most recently Cottage Craft Angora plus many more. We also carry handspun including Studioloo, regional breed specific yarns such as Shetland and alpaca and a variety of kits. Knitting books, patterns, specialty buttons & needles complement our knitters’ and crocheters’ offerings.
![]() Fabulous Lishman Yarn, Our Fur Yarn Our Store also carries our beautiful washable sheepskins suitable for a variety of uses: babies, wheelchairs, auto & motorbike seats, sofas, bedrooms and even pets! ![]() Glorious Colinette Wonderful Canadian handmade clothing and gifts offer further shopping choice: knit, woven and felted hats, scarves, mittens, warm sheepskin mittens & hats, Garneau sheepskin slippers, sweaters, shawls, vests, bags and Thermohair and alpaca socks are always available. Delightful critters such as bears, cats, bunnies, sheep, alpacas and mice as well as household items like sheepskin and alpaca felt pillows and knit throws round out our gifts. Our product line is always growing and we work hard to support local crafts people. ![]() Terrific Handmade Gifts The new Store is also the location for washed and carded products for spinners, felters and thrum knitters such as Alpaca and mohair blends, Romney, local Shetland and many other sheep breed specific rovings. For felters we also have Romney & a finer grey in batts. We carry many kinds of protein & vegetable fibres and Pat's Merino & silk Colour Packs, nearly all of Louet's fibre line and now Ashford fibres. We have created ribbon packs for fibre artists. Also new are Frabjous fibers wonderful Blue Faced Leicester braids. Rounding this out are Treenway Silks products such as hand painted silks, threads and various silk cocoon products. We also make up our own Corriedale colour packs for needle felters. Finally we continue to offer lamb cuts made famous by our farm: boneless stew and shanks to butterfly legs, lamb patties, County lamb sausage and even lambie pies, from our freezer.
The shop is open Tuesdays - Saturdays until late April. Then in May we begin being open on Sundays and by the end of May will be open daily for the summer and fall. Hours are 10 - 6 and on Sundays from 11-4. Telephone messages can be left at any time as well as by email. Shoppers can also drop in Wednesday evenings until 8 p.m. when we have our Knitting Club.
